OMFG!!! *dies*

if you're bored
this ones gonna be a doozie.
Wall-E is the epitome of a children's film- plus its made by Disney/Pixar, which equals BIG BUCKS for them.
Wanted is a rated-R action flick- and its what ill be seeing this weekend. either way, the two films have enough to get everyone out at the cinemas after kind of a shoddy weekend last week. Im so glad to finally have a decent R film to watch- i hate going to PG-13's that are filled with pre-teens before the curfew is over and their parents have to come pick them up. they are so damn loud and disrespectful (most of them).
This past weekend when i went to see Get Smart with my mom and this group of like 8 13 year olds came filing in as the movie was starting TALKING LOUDLY and laughing and whatnot, and i get it, its a comedy, but it didnt even start yet! then like 3 minutes in, one of the little boys said "cough cough" and they all got up and left. i was glad. this is just another reason i wish i lived in England- people dont make noise in the movie theatres.
so im done ranting now, and im gonna post the weekend warriors predictions..
1. wall-e----70+ mil! wow! ill be amazed if this actually happens. itll put it in a third place spot for opening weekends in 2008. it wont beat Indiana jones though- that ass licking movie cheated with the four day weekend and opened at over 100 mil!
2. wanted- about 40 mil, and i hope it does even better, but ill take it!
3. get smart- 21 mil
4. kung fu panda- 11 mil
5. incredible hulk- 10 mil
ps. i saw Sex and the City last night and i actually really enjoyed it! i was supposed to go for free, however, there were four of us and only two could use the free passes. i decided to take one for the team. well worth the money, however, i dont think ill ever be going to a clearview cinema ever again! the theatres are so small, and you feel like your herded in like cattle, and they freeze you out! AMC theatres are so much cleaner, more comfortable, and bigger! Read more!

new lily

alright, ill give u the box office.
1. Get Smart- 38.68 mil
2. Incredible Hulk- 22.136 mil
3. Kung Fu Panda- 21.9 mil (this movie is doing remarkably well!)
4. The Love Guru- 13.9 mil (BOMB!!!)
5. The Happening- 10.48 mil
i saw Get Smart and it was good, but not great. maybe my expectations were too high. nothing really blew me out of my seat in terms of humor, which was a let down, but the action was good and the plot was ok enough. if your planning on seeing an action movie, save your money for WANTED this coming weekend!
tomorrow you'll have your predictions via weekend warrior Read more!

god bless the New York Post
fall television BETCH

8:00- Gossip Girl on the CW- in its sophomore season, GG has alot to prove, even though myself and countless others view it as an instant classic. GG is what i breath for on mondays.
9:00- One Tree Hill on the CW..soooo excited to see who lucas chose. and it better have been brooke! my roommate and i may be the only people who lose sleep over this predicament.
10:00- The Hills on MTV- the last half of season three didnt really blow my socks off, but with lauren's new job, strife with audrina, and new boyfriends(!) hopefully this season will revitalize the show to the one we all know and love.
tuesdays:
8:00-10:00- Biggest Loser: Families on NBC- i got into this show when i saw an entire season in one day- they had a marathon on new years day- and then loved the new season of "Biggest Loser Couples". ive seen a couple episodes when they did a season of two families against each other, it was a little dumb, but then again you need the whole season to really connect with the contestants. this is honestly one of the best shows on television, because it really changes peoples lives and inspires countless others to get healthy. love love love it.
Or as an alternative,
8:00- House on Fox- ive watched this show since it came on years ago, and what i loved most was that it is set in my beautiful home state of New Jersey. the acting is great, however sometimes i feel like the formula of each episode is a little redundant.
wednesdays:
ABC has a semi impressive schedule with Pushing Daisies, Private Practice (barf), and Dirty Sexy Money running from 8:00-11:00 or you have America’s Next Top Model on at 8 on the CW, but overall, I think I’ll stay away from the tube on wed nights.

8:00- Ugly Betty on ABC- what i am most excited about for this next season is lindsay lohan's cameo. i have sort of a love hate relationship with her. shes easy to despise, but her acting and roles are very intriguing.
9:00- Grey’s Anatomy, this show doesnt really need an explanation, so im not going to give it one, but i will say that itll be interesting to see how everything fleshes out with katherine heigl's recent "tude" shes been coping.
Sundays: (easily the BEST NIGHT EVER)
7:00- America’s Funniest Home Videos
8:00- Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
9:00- Desperate Housewives Read more!

welcome down with the warrior sound

as if the writers strike this past winter wasn't enough, there is now a imminent SAG strike looming above our heads. ive been wondering why interesting film news is now few and far between, and this is the reason. many of you have probably heard lots of tidbits on it from different news outlets, but ill give you a short rundown here:

VDT update
the budget for this film (at least the mexico portion) is perportedly 100 mil. i have a feeling VDT will do better than PC in the box office as long as they market it correctly. the planned release as of now is may of 2010, which is around the same time iron man 2 is supposed to come out. bad idea- disney heads better re-think this idea with the knowledge of how PC has done domestically.
my suggestion? november of 2009/2010. narnia is a winter series.
imdb does not give any useful information on the casting- seeing as they have william moseley and anna popplewell on the bill, when both have gone on the record multiple times stating they WILL NOT be back in the narnia series. barnes, henley, and keynes will be back. Read more!

though me and you didnt know each other back then, i was one of "those people" that was still obsessed with The OC when the rest of the world had forgotten it (aka mid-season three). i was completely devastated when they ended it.

your actualz
anyways thats not the point of this post- here is your actual weekend box office.
1. kung fu panda- 60,239,130 (very very nice)
2. you dont mess with the zohan- 38,531,374 (barf!)
3. indiana jones a the kingdom of the suck my ass- 22,793,630
4. satc- 21,218,305 (that a 62% + drop! bahah)
5. the strangers- 8.9 mil (sad- their gross is only about 37 mil)
caspian- 5.658 mil. i was not able to find any info about this weekends australian opening. i find it strange that information is so hard to find. UPDATE: i found a total for taiwan- which is a little over 1 mil. sounds a little pathetic, but in terms of the market, its a pretty decent open. to put it into perspective- iron man opened april 30th there and is just ending their run and has a total gross of about 5.3 million. the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe which opened at the end of december 2005 grossed a total of 3.75 million for its total run. for now, it looks like caspian might be on track to surpass the LWW total there and that seems to be a growing theme in all international markets. im officially babbling.
more info to come probs tomorrow when weekend warrior tells us his predictions for this coming weekend. Read more!

while we are on the subject..
-producers have not yet chosen who lucas called "to marry him" on the season finale. so at this point, it could be either one of the three.
-98.99% chance that dan will be returning. whatever that means. to me that seems predictable.
-theres a new bitch in town, 16-ish and shes a foster child. Read more!

why do you go and fix what isnt broken?

all of you know my obsession with the gossip girl tv show. well it didnt just spring up from thin air- it all started with the books. i remember being in borders (im one of their best customers) and seeing the first book in the series on the sale wall. i had heard about it from somewhere or the other and i thought hey what the heck i need one more book so i can get the "get one free" deal. lets just say it was like starting a drug habit. i read all thirteen(?) books in less than six months and started a couple of my friends on the series too.

im bored: my favorite albums EVER

1. deja entendu- brand new, from the opening track, "tautou", you can gather the tone of the entire album. I hated the first album, and for that matter, don’t want to give their third a chance because from the samples ive heard it is too different from the second. Maybe im being too closed minded. But back to deja- I can honestly say that all of the songs have poignant lyrics that go perfectly with the subtle guitar in the background- only getting loud during the chorus and after the bridge. Honestly the only album ive never grown tired of.

2. stripped- Christina Aguilera, one of the most beautiful albums ever made both lyrically and vocally. Songs range from slow and full of heart, to fast and fun. Some are downright inspirational. The album has made me cry on many an occasion. Honestly I feel she is a greater vocalist than Mariah carey and whitney

3. the battle of
