Leighton Meester can actually sing!
although im arguably her biggest supporter, enabler, fan, etc.- i was super skeptical about leighton singing AND ACTUALLY SOUNDING GOOD.
last night at about 3am while i was scrolling down perezhilton.com on my blackberry until i fell asleep, i saw posts related to her singing. couldnt listen to them on my blackberry so i put it off until today.
me and my roommate bravely listened to her cover to "betty davis eyes" and...we actually like it! alot!

and heres an embed of her singing in the movie "drive thru" where her voice is exactly the same, in case u were wondering if its not really her:
leighton sings on an upcoming episode of entourage..so we will see how that goes.
i have a feeling this is going to be a pretty big deal.

christina> lady gaga?
rumor has it that christina aguleira (i really dont know how to spell that name) took inspiration from lady gaga for her recent performance at the mtv vma's. i def agree about the similarities. actually, it looked like lady gaga was lip syncing to christina's song.
i dont get why she lip synced. shes known to actually sing during her performances, so its out of the ordinary. girl has a voice everyone knows it. i dont think the performance was necessarily bad because of it though. she looked good, danced good, the song was good, and the performance was exciting.
