i know who killed lezhan

so i had the tivo all to myself last week, which allowed me to record all of the movies on starz, encore, and hbo that i miss because im working, sleeping, or typing bullshit to you guys.
but anyways, one of the movies i recorded was I Know Who Killed Me, starring none other than La Lohan. i think some people have the idea that i hate her. WRONG. its more like i hate that i love her. ive seen (now) every movie shes been in. and unfortunately, i have loved all of them.

dont read ahead if you dont want to be spoiled (if you ever plan on seeing this movie, that is)

anyways, to the movie. let me give you some numbers to begin with, a background, if you will. the movie grossed around 10 million dollars worldwide. which actually, isnt surprising if you know the details. the movie played in 1320 theatres in its widest release. to put that in perspective, the most shiteous film in history, Meet Dave, opened in 3011 theatres.

i think what people fail to realize is that this film was AN INDIE film in nature. no doubt, it bombed harddddcore in the box office, but films like this usually do. critics ripped it apart, but thats per usual when it comes to the horror genre. none of those films screen early for critics because they usually get bad reviews and maybe the critics feel scorned? idk. if you go into it expecting it to be shit, you might actually enjoy it!

undoubtedly, the best part of the movie is the opening scene. no necessarily because of what it shows- but because of the cinematography. it opens up with a bewildered looking lindsay (no doubt on drugs) walking up on stage----at a strip club and doing some pole dancing. for me, it was a little weird and awkward watching katy harin stripping, but the bob dylan-esque song behind it made it somewhat beautiful and ironic..even generating a laugh from me with the lyric "well never judge a book by its cover, and dont beleive everything youve read". the song- "come right in" by Vietnam is actually so good- i went onto itunes a bought it.

this movie- dubbed a "thriller" is kind of cliche with its plot and gore, but i just couldnt get over the way it made me feel- so weirddddd. this is mostly because of the cinematography. it was downright intriguing. the director uses specific colored filters for each "character" that is supposed to be in that part of the film- lindsay plays twins again- aubrey (goody goody) and dakota (badass stripper) that dont know the other exists.

seeing lindsay as an amputee was def something that i still havent gotten over. literally you see her without and arm and a leg- its super weird and creepy. dakota's attitude is something ive gotten used to after seeing Georgia Rule, but still it seems a little contrived and cringeworthy at times. however, i did enjoy when she told her "boyfriend" when he was looking at her new prosthetic hand.. "its fucked up though huh."

overall, if your looking for some cheap laughs and maybe a thrill here and there (i was a little nervous and creeped out at the end), then i think this movie is worth a watch. they are playing it alot lately on starz edge if your a subscriber.

maybe im just a shamless lohan fan.....
