...wont pick it up if its over a five...

according to perez, miz lily allen did perform at glasto! on saturday, which apparently was a day after her paternal grandmother died? im not sure if this is the same "nan" that was imortalized in the song "nan youre a window shopper"..thats sad and all, but perez is spinning it like lily spat on her grave! some people arent that close to their grandparents. and well, performing at glasto isnt something you pass up...

im going to look for a video of the performance, which was done during mark ronson's set.

heres an interview with the two of them (god i love them so much) before the show. and click here for a detailed article about the performance.

seriously, this is like the last time i ever get to put Caspian premiere pics up, most likely because they are running out of places to premiere the movie...how hot does william look people? (ps these fotos are taken in Madrid, Spain)
seriously he looks good in tight pants..
omg haha im LOLing because anna looks so fug but im super jelless of her at the same time. plus all three of them are wearing skinny jeans! and look how tight william is gripping anna! i think they love each other...i need a body language expert.
seriously WTF are these two ladies wearing. who told them those dresses are ok to wear? im seriously wondering if that picture is a waste of bandwidth. i feel like ben wears the same outfits alot too..at least my willy boy mixes it up a little.

glastonbury music festival is possibly the most fabulous festival of international contemporary artists ever. this is where you want to be if you know anything about good music. two of my favorite brits- duffy and amy winehouse were there, along with countless others. here are some of note:
* mark ronson
* The Gossip
* Goldfrapp
* John Mayer
* The Duke Spirit
* The Kills
* The Ting Tings
* Band of Horses

these are only the very few i thought would have been really cool to see. im wondering though why adele, the shins, and lily allen werent there? i know lily has no new material but who cares!

one day ill be able to go! Read more!

INCREDIBLE.

i saw Wanted. and really, i have no words for how amazing it was. it was funny, action packed, aesthetically pleasing (hello, james mcavoy and angelina jolie!). i even screamed at one part. those of you who have seen it can probably guess which part (involves dead people on meat hooks). all i can tell you is, SEE THIS MOVIE. itll be the best ten dollars you spend in 2008. or at least in the month of june.

and, we NEED more ass kicking females in this genre.

weekend warrior must be shitting his pants, you know with that measley 39 million estimate he gave Wanted. its dangerously close to surpassing Wall-E and we are talking about a fricken RATED R movie here! this is insane. check it---

1. Wall-E: 62.5 mil (these are only estimates, but wasnt this one supposed to pass 70?)
2. Wanted- 51.118 mil! ive never been so pleased by a second place opening.
3. Get Smart- 20 milz
4. Kung Fu Panda- 11.746 mil
5. Incredible Hulk- 9.226 mil

ill give you the adjustments tomorrow.

Sidenote- Chronicles of Narnia:Prince Caspian opened in the UK, France, and other regions this weekend. international numbers take alot longer to be updated, so ill have those for you like tuesday-ish. TOTAL weekend gross for all movies showing in the UK (or all ones that are tracked anyway) is only around 20 mil a weekend, and number one movies in america usually gross double that or more their opening weekend, so dont expect a large number.
UPDATE: THIS WEEKEND WAS ONE OF THE TOP GROSSING WEEKENDS IN BOX OFFICE HISTORY. this is also the FIRST WEEKEND IN HISTORY that two new releases opened with over 50 mil each. INSANITY. WANTED had the 6th or 7th highest ever opening for any R rated film ever released. Also, Angelina Jolie has TWO movies in the top five this weekend! what a bitch!

wow!

i just read that The Dark Knight (aka the Batman movie with Heath Ledger) has sold out so many shows (already!) that is has added some screenings at 3:00 am on Friday July 18th! thats insane. i could never imagine seeing a movie at such a strange time. 12 am ok, but 3? are people really that desperate to see this? im def going to see it sometime, but ill wait until after all the weirdos are done like dressing up and waiting outside for hours to get tickets....

also, some unrelated notes...

1.keira knightley's movie The Edge of Love, and it has premiered in the UK, but so far there is NO SET RELEASE DATE FOR THE US, which sucks.

2. a while back, i posted a link to the trailer for He's Just Not That Into You, and like i thought, the movie is getting badddd buzz. its release has been pushed back to Feb of 2009! thats a bad sign for any movie. if you want proof, Prince Caspian was a movie that was pushed back, and it did alot worse than was expected!

3. id give you more, but im super tired and i have very busy weekend ahead of me. i probs wont update until sunday or monday! but by then ill be able to give you some details about the SAG strike, which will take affect next week should no agreement be reached before then. in addition to my being tired, my internet is slow and im getting really annoyed about it.

then theres an obscenely long article on comingsoon.net's page related to Brittany Snow and Matt Broderick who co-star in the film Finding Amanda. the movie screened somewhere in the last couple of weeks, i cant remember where, but i remember seeing pictures of bsnow in some magazine. anyways its a very involved interview with comedy writer Peter Tolan. its interesting but not a quick or easy read. the movie is in limited release starting this weekend- so basically only people in NY or LA will be able to see it. click here for the interview.

ALSO comingsoon.net is kicking ass today because they have a FEATURETTE with interviews by both angie AND james mcavoy for Wanted. its a must see for anyone anticipating this movie. click here

this ones gonna be a doozie.

whats really cute about this weekend is that there are two films being released that start with the letter "w"! i know that sounds corny, but both are expected to do really well, and they provide movie choices that are at two completely different ends of the film spectrum.

Wall-E is the epitome of a children's film- plus its made by Disney/Pixar, which equals BIG BUCKS for them.

Wanted is a rated-R action flick- and its what ill be seeing this weekend. either way, the two films have enough to get everyone out at the cinemas after kind of a shoddy weekend last week. Im so glad to finally have a decent R film to watch- i hate going to PG-13's that are filled with pre-teens before the curfew is over and their parents have to come pick them up. they are so damn loud and disrespectful (most of them).

This past weekend when i went to see Get Smart with my mom and this group of like 8 13 year olds came filing in as the movie was starting TALKING LOUDLY and laughing and whatnot, and i get it, its a comedy, but it didnt even start yet! then like 3 minutes in, one of the little boys said "cough cough" and they all got up and left. i was glad. this is just another reason i wish i lived in England- people dont make noise in the movie theatres.

so im done ranting now, and im gonna post the weekend warriors predictions..

1. wall-e----70+ mil! wow! ill be amazed if this actually happens. itll put it in a third place spot for opening weekends in 2008. it wont beat Indiana jones though- that ass licking movie cheated with the four day weekend and opened at over 100 mil!
2. wanted- about 40 mil, and i hope it does even better, but ill take it!
3. get smart- 21 mil
4. kung fu panda- 11 mil
5. incredible hulk- 10 mil

ps. i saw Sex and the City last night and i actually really enjoyed it! i was supposed to go for free, however, there were four of us and only two could use the free passes. i decided to take one for the team. well worth the money, however, i dont think ill ever be going to a clearview cinema ever again! the theatres are so small, and you feel like your herded in like cattle, and they freeze you out! AMC theatres are so much cleaner, more comfortable, and bigger! Read more!

new lily

lily allen has added a clip of one of her new songs to her myspace page. you can check it out here. (name is "guess who batman")
the lyrics arent very kid-friendly, but i like them. i like to imagine they are about perez hilton, although there are a couple twists that make it seem unlikely. she claims that its not a direct attack at anyone, but everyone else would say that too.

the full song may be added this week? who knows..i cant wait for this album though.

ps, the pic is also compliments of ms allen's myspace page. i love how she updates it herself!

alright, ill give u the box office.

BORING! obvs Get Smart won the weekend, but it wasnt anything spectacular. im just too excited for this coming weekend to even care about the last one, but here are ur numbers regardless...

1. Get Smart- 38.68 mil
2. Incredible Hulk- 22.136 mil
3. Kung Fu Panda- 21.9 mil (this movie is doing remarkably well!)
4. The Love Guru- 13.9 mil (BOMB!!!)
5. The Happening- 10.48 mil

i saw Get Smart and it was good, but not great. maybe my expectations were too high. nothing really blew me out of my seat in terms of humor, which was a let down, but the action was good and the plot was ok enough. if your planning on seeing an action movie, save your money for WANTED this coming weekend!

god bless the New York Post

im really glad to see everyone raving about Wanted. This sunday's New York Post's insert- Pulse had a featurette on Angelina Jolie and her role in Wanted. here are some choice quotes:
"Here's a fun game: Try to imagine Angelina Jolie in the Sex and the City movie. You know, hanging with Carrie and the girls. Shoe shopping, giggling, brunching. Kind of makes your head hurt, doesnt it?"
..agreed...

"Last month, a poll of bikers rated her Tomb Raider motorcycle chase scene 'best two wheeled movie moment of all time.'"

"She seems to be this frail, slender, delicate creature when shes stolling down the red carpet, and then becomes to ultimate symbol of female empowerment in these films."

"One of Jolie's ideas for Wanted was, ironically, cutting down her own lines to make her character even scarier." (she explained this more in detail in her interview with EW)

"She has a great female following. If there were more woman like her, maybe there would be more films like [Wanted]."

WANTED OPENS THIS FRIDAY...SOOOOO EXCITED.

fall television BETCH

its barely july, but i cant help but be excited about fall television, that is if the strike doesnt ruin it. so! i put together a little schedule of what i will be watching and what i think YOU should be watching. this schedule does not count new pilots that could catch my eye, just returning favorites!
mondays: aka, the trifecta of female (and female inclined males) television, comparable to the alpha male's monday night football. three straight hours of soapy, gossipy, fashion filled television, with lots of handsome men in suits, or without shirts...etc.
8:00- Gossip Girl on the CW- in its sophomore season, GG has alot to prove, even though myself and countless others view it as an instant classic. GG is what i breath for on mondays.
9:00- One Tree Hill on the CW..soooo excited to see who lucas chose. and it better have been brooke! my roommate and i may be the only people who lose sleep over this predicament.
10:00- The Hills on MTV- the last half of season three didnt really blow my socks off, but with lauren's new job, strife with audrina, and new boyfriends(!) hopefully this season will revitalize the show to the one we all know and love.

tuesdays:

8:00-10:00- Biggest Loser: Families on NBC- i got into this show when i saw an entire season in one day- they had a marathon on new years day- and then loved the new season of "Biggest Loser Couples". ive seen a couple episodes when they did a season of two families against each other, it was a little dumb, but then again you need the whole season to really connect with the contestants. this is honestly one of the best shows on television, because it really changes peoples lives and inspires countless others to get healthy. love love love it.
Or as an alternative,
8:00- House on Fox- ive watched this show since it came on years ago, and what i loved most was that it is set in my beautiful home state of New Jersey. the acting is great, however sometimes i feel like the formula of each episode is a little redundant.

wednesdays:
ABC has a semi impressive schedule with Pushing Daisies, Private Practice (barf), and Dirty Sexy Money running from 8:00-11:00 or you have America’s Next Top Model on at 8 on the CW, but overall, I think I’ll stay away from the tube on wed nights.

Thursdays:
8:00- Ugly Betty on ABC- what i am most excited about for this next season is lindsay lohan's cameo. i have sort of a love hate relationship with her. shes easy to despise, but her acting and roles are very intriguing.
9:00- Grey’s Anatomy, this show doesnt really need an explanation, so im not going to give it one, but i will say that itll be interesting to see how everything fleshes out with katherine heigl's recent "tude" shes been coping.

Sundays: (easily the BEST NIGHT EVER)
7:00- America’s Funniest Home Videos
8:00- Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
9:00- Desperate Housewives Read more!

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE

chromeo
MARK RONSON <33333333333333333333

michael scott in cinemas this friday

anyone who breathes watches the office....

well, they should watch the office. and anyone who watches the office knows and loves Michael Scott (Steve Carell). this weekend marks the opening of Get Smart, starring Steve Carell, and i swear its Michael i see everytime. he plays the same awkward, loveable, and socially inept guy as he does on the office. you can bet ill be at the theatre this weekend (or tues when i can go for free).

here is weekend warrior's predictions for a somewhat underperforming weekend:

1. Get Smart- 36.8 million

2. Incredible Hulk- 26 million (or will it grow bigger legs?)

3. The Love Guru (the mike myers film)- 21.6 million

4. Kung Fu Panda- 20.5 million

5. The Happening- 9.5 million (this movie defied expectations and actually did pretty decent last weekend despite TONS of bad buzz)

teen choice awards nominations

i am not a teen, yet i feel obligated to be excited about this. ok maybe not excited..how bout REALLY EXCITED because Gossip Girl kicked ass and took names. heres all you need to know about the show airing Aug. 4th---

1. miley cyrus is hosting (wonder how slutty shes gonna look?)
2. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian  is nominated for movie action adventure (but iron man will probs win)
3. Jake Gyllenhaal is nominated for best actor (drama) for his role in Rendition, which i saw and loved.
4. Keira Knightley is nominated for best actress (drama) for her role in Atonement. bitch better win.
5. they have a category for best actress (and one for actor) for horror films, which seems kinda dumb for me, but i can appreciate Brittany Snow being nominated (obv for her role in Prom Night
6. ben barnes is nominated for breakout actor! yay
7.  gossip girl nominated for best tv drama (OTH is also nominated), and also tv breakout show
8. choice male tv actor- Chace Crawford and Penn Badgley, and Chad Michael Murray
9. choice female tv actor- Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Sophia Bush, and Katherine Heigl. if blair doesnt win ill be really legit upset about it. i think she has it in the bag.
10.  (both 9 and 10 relate to tv dramas)
11. leighton and blake are also nominated for choice breakout actresses (taylor momsen too, but that bitch would shit gold before she won and award for her acting).
12. breakout male stars include Ed Westwick, Chace, and Penn too. Westwick is also nominated for choice tv villian.
13. britney spears even got a nomination! are pigs flying?
14. theres two more categories- choice female hottie, and choice red carpet fashion icon (female) that i feel leighton meester should have gotten nominated for. BITCH WORKS IT. chace crawford was nominated for male hottie.

so ill end the list with 14 points, which evidently, is the total amount of nominations Gossip Girl got. is that not the sickest shit you ever heard? you can get more information along with a list of all nominees and categories here

welcome down with the warrior sound

as if the writers strike this past winter wasn't enough, there is now a imminent SAG strike looming above our heads. ive been wondering why interesting film news is now few and far between, and this is the reason. many of you have probably heard lots of tidbits on it from different news outlets, but ill give you a short rundown here:

-basically the fight is raging between SAG (Screen Actors Guild) and AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers) over actors contracts and their royalties relating to streaming video on the internets.
-the actors want to be compensated (as the writers and directors did back in the winter) for people watching them work on the internet, this includes the actors actually giving consent for their work to be shown on the internet. i guess this seems fair?
-if an agreement is not reached by june 30th, then SAG goes on strike. i hope you all know what this means- no actors to act in anything!
-this may not affect movies as badly as television, as most actors have signed waivers to continue working on films. some films without waivers have built in breaks that accommodate a potential strike.

this is terrible news for fall premieres.

new page element

VDT update

for anyone who is interested in the status of Voyage of the Dawn Treader, prepoduction began in mexico about a week ago. as we know, VDT is going to have somewhat of a nautical theme, and most of the filming will be done in mexico or similar tropical climates.

the budget for this film (at least the mexico portion) is perportedly 100 mil. i have a feeling VDT will do better than PC in the box office as long as they market it correctly. the planned release as of now is may of 2010, which is around the same time iron man 2 is supposed to come out. bad idea- disney heads better re-think this idea with the knowledge of how PC has done domestically.

my suggestion? november of 2009/2010. narnia is a winter series.

imdb does not give any useful information on the casting- seeing as they have william moseley and anna popplewell on the bill, when both have gone on the record multiple times stating they WILL NOT be back in the narnia series. barnes, henley, and keynes will be back. Read more!

lily iz feckin fantastic

lately, perez hilton has had nothing nice to say about my lily. the thing that bothers me about this is that he is the reason i love lily! i never heard of her before reading tons of posts about her on his site. as you know, i am into almost ALL genres of music (except country), and lily is hands down one of my favorite artists. thats why its infuriating and confusting to me why perez would attack her so badly just because she got drunk and outrageous a few times. havent we all done it?

the reason im writing about this is because theres this little blogwar going on between them. im taking lily's side. ive been posting lately how perez has been going down on my list of favorite blogs. you can read some of perez's latest posts on lily here, here, and here.

here are some choice quotes from the "blog war" of '08 (which was in response to the last post about lily i put a link to):

lily:

"Perez Hilton is a mean man. I don't know what I did to piss him off but the last few months he has launched a bit of a tirade against me"

"he also insinuated there was something suspicious about me having a miscarriage, which is just wrong, but I'm not going to go into how painful that whole episode was.

...side note...how can you ever write such terrible things about a woman who experienced the loss of a child! i dont care if it wasnt born yet, my mom had a miscarriage and its a terrible terrible thing.

perez wrote back: "At least we can agree on two things: she's a mess and no one is talking about her music these days!"

lily then started to really get upset: "I am not a liar Pee pEe " and "many people ask to have their photos taken with me , I don't keep a record of peoples names . You wouldn't understand that though , you can probably remember the names and faces of all seven fans that turned up to your clothing line signing the other day."

good one! lily can fight back. perez then got really nasty- which is saying alot because hes always nasty....

"Shouldn't you be doing more productive things than blogging about Perez??? Don't you have a new album to record???
Naw, you're too busy pAArtying it up at the Chateau Marmont.
Well, go ahead, sweetie. Full on!
We look forward to reporting your trip to rehab in a few months!"

gossip gag

heres the dish- which id like to throw against the nearest wall and hear shatter into thousands of peices- theres going to be a "spin off" of gossip girl. this is being reported by multiple media outlets. people fail to realize, however, that josh schwartz is a genius- and hes not throwing the masterpeice that is gossip girl into the shitter by creating another show THIS FAST.

anyone whos read the books knows the story arc where jenny turns into a cunt and everyone hates her and wants her to go away. wait- thats also in the show....but anyways, she either has to repeat freshman year or go away to boarding school, hence you get your six or so It Girl books. theres where it should end people. these media outlets are proposing that jenny (taylor momsen) is getting a spin-off ala this arc. josh schwartz says "hell no" (in not so many words) and that the reports are "very very premature". he's "never saying never", but really- he is. everyone hates jenny. this is common knowledge.

so you can sleep tight gg fans,

xoxo

p.s. there was NO WAY IN HELL i was putting a picture of jenny up here.

though me and you didnt know each other back then, i was one of "those people" that was still obsessed with The OC when the rest of the world had forgotten it (aka mid-season three). i was completely devastated when they ended it.

we wont go into details about how many oc dvd's i have.

thats besides the point. just jared had run a little item about how Rachel Bilson had not talked to any of her OC co-stars since the season ended. that broke my little heart. so i went over to the source of the quote (moviefone) and read the interview. she talks of how she got her role in Jumper (which comes out on dvd soon) and other stuff. there are some little tidbits in there about the oc in case you care- jump on over and view the article!

two new movies this week- both from similar genres. im sort of confused about the whole Incredible Hulk bullshit- wasnt there just a movie about this like 5 years ago or something? is it the same story or a new story? i really could care less because im not a fan of comic books.

anyways, here are weekend warrior's predictions. im not going to repeat the mistake of making my own like last week because i was EXTREMELY OFF.

1. the incredible hulk- 58 milz
2. kung fu panda- 36.5 mil
3. the happening (the second new movie out next week)- 25.4 mil
4. you dont mess with the zohan- 19.3 mil
5. indiana jones- 11.7 mil

im thinking these estimates are probs what i would have put. IN TWO MORE WEEKS Wanted and Wall-E are released. thats when ill start really caring about these predictions again.

got some updates on caspian, and then ill go see what's in the cards for this weekend for the domestic box office.

Australia's numbers are a little over 4 mil. SATC won the weekend there- which means australians must have forgotten caspian was released. thats the only logical explanation i can think of. i remember LWW grossed like 25 mil or something there so caspian has a long way to go.

also, box office mojo updated the foreign totals to include more countries that weren't previously listed, like china for instance. weirdly enough- caspian beat kung fu panda's ass in the philippines. the movie has yet to open in about 10 countries.

your actualz

im having a really bad night. i had a doctors appointment at 7:30- didnt get into a room until almost 8, and then SAT THERE until 8:15. when the doctor finallly came in he talked to me for 2 SECONDS and then i left. what a waste of my life.

anyways thats not the point of this post- here is your actual weekend box office.

1. kung fu panda- 60,239,130 (very very nice)
2. you dont mess with the zohan- 38,531,374 (barf!)
3. indiana jones a the kingdom of the suck my ass- 22,793,630
4. satc- 21,218,305 (that a 62% + drop! bahah)
5. the strangers- 8.9 mil (sad- their gross is only about 37 mil)

caspian- 5.658 mil. i was not able to find any info about this weekends australian opening. i find it strange that information is so hard to find. UPDATE: i found a total for taiwan- which is a little over 1 mil. sounds a little pathetic, but in terms of the market, its a pretty decent open. to put it into perspective- iron man opened april 30th there and is just ending their run and has a total gross of about 5.3 million. the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe which opened at the end of december 2005 grossed a total of 3.75 million for its total run. for now, it looks like caspian might be on track to surpass the LWW total there and that seems to be a growing theme in all international markets. im officially babbling.

more info to come probs tomorrow when weekend warrior tells us his predictions for this coming weekend. Read more!

while we are on the subject..

i have some deets on oth!

-producers have not yet chosen who lucas called "to marry him" on the season finale. so at this point, it could be either one of the three.
-98.99% chance that dan will be returning. whatever that means. to me that seems predictable.
-theres a new bitch in town, 16-ish and shes a foster child. Read more!

gossip girl begins filming in nyc again july 21st- prior dates a shot in the hamptons. if anyone is in the area, ill try and get spec's on the locations. bring cameras! Read more!

why do you go and fix what isnt broken?

all of you know my obsession with the gossip girl tv show. well it didnt just spring up from thin air- it all started with the books. i remember being in borders (im one of their best customers) and seeing the first book in the series on the sale wall. i had heard about it from somewhere or the other and i thought hey what the heck i need one more book so i can get the "get one free" deal. lets just say it was like starting a drug habit. i read all thirteen(?) books in less than six months and started a couple of my friends on the series too.

as far as literature goes, the books are crap, but that doesnt mean they are one of the best things ive ever read. it is impossible to not get into it and to not relate to the characters on a very deep level- because you get to know them so well. some may argue that the characters are static and two dimensional. i disagree to that, and well the books are what you make them. well anyway, after the last book (spoiler) blair, serena, and everyone else go off to college or their different ways and there is an advertisement on the last page about some carlyle triplets or some bullshit like that. WELL the author decided to go ahead and STOP writing about the characters i fell in love with and now shes writing about some new whores- those carlyle bitches!

about a week or so ago, i was in borders with a couple friends (including K), and i saw the new book had come out (we looked at the back of the last book again and it said to expect the next one out in may of 08 and here it was), and what do you know- there were the carlyle's. to add insult to injury these girls MOVE INTO BLAIRS OLD APARTMENT. please. if you go to the official gossip girl page you can read a preview of the book, mine wouldnt load.

UPDATE: im reading a review and one of the triplets IS A BOY. wtf. oh, and apparently this book is written by one of cecily von ziegesar's ghost writers. im not buying it.

im bored: my favorite albums EVER

this is about to be a really long post. i hope your ready for it.

1. deja entendu- brand new, from the opening track, "tautou", you can gather the tone of the entire album.  I hated the first album, and for that matter, don’t want to give their third a chance because from the samples ive heard it is too different from the second. Maybe im being too closed minded. But back to deja- I can honestly say that all of the songs have poignant lyrics that go perfectly with the subtle guitar in the background- only getting loud during the chorus and after the bridge. Honestly the only album ive never grown tired of.

2. strippedChristina Aguilera, one of the most beautiful albums ever made both lyrically and vocally. Songs range from slow and full of heart, to fast and fun. Some are downright inspirational. The album has made me cry on many an occasion. Honestly I feel she is a greater vocalist than Mariah carey and whitney Houston. Touches of this are in back to basics, but that album failed to invoke a lot of emotion that stripped did.

3. the battle of los angeles-rage against the machine, lets just say I truly rock out to this cd. Every song. I only discovered rage relatively recently- thanks to guitar hero, but now im eating up every one of their albums and its heartbreaking to me that they are no longer together, making albums at least. Audioslave is just not the same!

4. tie between in love and death and the usedthe used, the only band which includes screaming that really does it for me. Love how their dark lyrics don’t seem tacky or overdone. Really its about the music on these two albums and not the lyrics. Love them and will continue buying their albums even though lies for the liars wasn’t spectacular.

5. back to black- amy winehouse, truly a musician, she makes you feel what shes singing. The fact that her life is a mess only enhances the music for me because I know she experienced what she has written and her style is unique to me, even though her influences (billie holiday, etc) are quite obvious. I might be part of a small minority that cant wait for more from her. Frank was also wonderful (and long) but was a little camp and not as finely polished as her sophomore album.

im sure im forgetting a few that are equal to or greater than these albums, but for now itll do. maybe ill do 5-10 another time. feel free to disagree or concur with my choices!
