fall movie preview

just to keep everyone in the loop, i thought i would post about some upcoming movies to look forward to this fall. these are the movies i have the most likelyhood of seeing, although now that im back to being a struggling college student, who knows how much money ill have to throw around. that just means ill have to be extra choosey!

anyway, click under the cut for the list, release dates, and possibly trailers.

opening sept 12th is brad pitts latest film, which i posted about probly a couple months ago. "Burn After Reading" is a movie by the legendary Cohen brothers, and luckily, they lightened it up this time. the trailer makes this film look genuinley funny and enjoyable, although im not sure it enticing enough to get me to spend 10 dollars. def a movie i would rent though. i bet this movie gets a little award buzz too.

also opening the weekend of the 12th is meg ryan's latest- "The Women". this film also looks really good and i had posted the trailer for it quite a while ago. this movie has a better chance of getting me out to the theater to be honest- mostly because i love me some grace adler.

the only movie on this list i can safely say there is a 100% chance of me going out and paying to see is.....THE DUTCHESS. what can i say, keira knightly looking fierce and a fierce love story to go along with it.

the first weekend of october marks another opening of a movie i had posted about previously- and that is simon pegg and megan fox's "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People". this movie has good concepts, but really seems like something that should have a limited release.

also opening that weekend is "Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist", which honestly looks good but i think they are trying too hard to capitalize off of Juno's success. just call it my opinion. i love Kat Dennings but i wish mike cera could find another role to play that isnt the "shy wallflower nerdy" guy.

high school muscial 3 opens the weekend of the 24th, however im not sure im gonna go see it. my friends will probs end up dragging me, but its super hard for me to know my movie ticket will indirectly go to vanexxxa hudgen's pocket. even ashley tiz is starting to annoy me. im always up for a cheesefest though. this movie is sure to be a blockbuster- really the only one ive listed so far that i think will break the 100 mil mark within a week or two.

the weekend after, angelina jolie's drama "The Changling" opens. i dont see this making it big at the box office, since theres no scenes with her taking off her clothes, however she should win at all the major award shows as this will be a stellar performace from her (per usual).

im assuming this is thanksgiving weekend? but surprisingly, the november 26th weekend doesnt really knock my socks off. the only movie i think that looks slightly enticing is reese witherspoon and vince vaughn's "Four Christmases". and thats simply because i love reese witherspoon.
